R. v. IL Charges: Robbery and Possession of Cocaine. At a preliminary inquiry Mr. Leslie successfully argued that there was no evidence to support that IL was a party to the robbery or in possession of cocaine. Result: charges were dismissed.
R v. JT Charges: Armed Robbery. The Crown alleged JT (along with two co-accused) robbed a restaurant at gunpoint. Mr. Leslie successfully argued that JT had no knowledge of the existence of a firearm. Result: All charges pertaining to the firearm were dismissed.
